    Autosport International Review

Posted by Mike on 18 January, 2008

It’s been a very busy week at Superleague Formula organising all the forthcoming club announcements and so, after a fantastic launch at FC Porto’s Estádio do Dragão, I’ve finally had the chance to report back on our presence at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham last weekend…

With Saturday and Sunday open to the public, this was our first opportunity to officially present SF to the UK audience… and it seems the PSV Eindhoven and Flamengo cars (below) made a big impression!

Sarah and the team had a really positive response overall, with a great deal of interest in the championship and loads of people wanting to know which UK club will be taking part (requests ranged from Brentford FC and Coventry City to Manchester United and Newcastle United).

On Saturday, we were also pleased to give away two weekend tickets for an auction run by racing4charity.com, the proceeds of which will go to Breathing Charity NARA, run by Mike Jiggle and his wife.

So big congratulations to Jonathan and Teresa Deem (above) of South Wales who won the bidding for two weekend tickets. “Imagine being able to say we were at the first event,” they said, as they jumped at the chance to get in the cars. “That will be something really special.”

As the first officially-confirmed spectators for the inaugural race at Donington in August, we can’t wait to see you there!
