    Galatasaray Around Istanbul

Posted by Mike on 8 March, 2008

After a really successful launch of the car on Galatasaray island (the club’s website clocked 11,000 visitors on Thursday), Sarah and the SF team made an early start yesterday – no mean feat, after their attempts at belly dancing… don’t ask.

They headed out to the Sultanahmet (also known as the Blue Mosque – above) for the car’s first photo session of the day and then, after a warming cup of Turkish tea, they made their next stop at scenic Ortaköy, on the side of the Bosphorus (above + below) with the Ortaköy Mosque and Bosphrous bridge as a backdrop.

In the afternoon, they took Galatasaray’s two potential drivers – Jason Tahinci and Alessandro Pier Guidi (below) – on a sightseeing tour to Istanbul’s famous Spice Market, where they sampled some local (Turkish) delights.

Next stop, the Ali Sami Yen stadium tonight to reveal the car to the people that really matter – the ultrAslan!
